"As You Were" 1949.
The Australian Services at home & overseas in 1949 |
Literary and art responsibility has largely rested with Tom Hungerford and Frank Norton respectively. Raymond O'Malley, Harold F. Ward and Charles A. Monticone have also rendered valuable service. The executives and staff of Halstead Press Pty. Ltd. have, as in the past, been unsparing in their efforts to produce a book of the finest quality. The assistance of all of these is also
gratefully acknowledged.
Amongst those who read this book there will be many who have yarns of their own to tell. They are invited to send contributions to the Director, Australian War Memorial, Canberra, for consideration for use in future volumes.

but that in which their fame survives, to be remembered for ever when occasion comes for word or deed . . ."
